About Journal Citation Reports
Web of Science™ is the world's leading citation index with multidisciplinary content from over 12,000 of the top-tier international and regional journals. The editorial staff at Clarivate Analytics reviews over 2500 journals each year. Of these, only about 10 to 12% of the most influential in the fields of science, social sciences, and arts and humanities are selected for indexing in the Web of Science. More than 11,000 of those elite publications are indexed in Journal Citation Reports. Factors considered during the evaluation and selection process include the journal's publishing standards, its editorial content, and citation data from Web of Science.
