The Historical Committee interviews Society presidents, recipients of the F. Paul Anderson award and other distinguished individuals as part of a program entitled “Leadership Recalls.” The purpose of the Leadership Recalled program is to record, in their own words, these leaders’ comments on how they have contributed to progress of the HVAC&R industry. Some 60 Leadership Recalls interviews have been conducted since the program was started in 1990. The interviews are stored in the ASHRAE archives at the ASHRAE Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. The following Leadership Recalls interviews are now available for viewing. Individuals’ names are listed, if they were president of the Society or a predecessor society (ASHVE, the American Society of Heating and Ventilating Engineers, or ASRE, The American Society of Refrigerating Engineers), and award received. To watch a leadership interview, simply select the image on the right for that individual. The video may take a few moments to open. You will need a video player such as Microsoft's "Windows Media Player" and a speaker or headphones for your computer to listen. Other video and audio files are in the process of being developed and will be made available here as work on them is completed. They are listed at the bottom of this page. |
