Introduction

This site provides recommended training for participants in the standards development process. This training is being made available here for individual self training purposes. Project Committee Members and Liaisons:

Available below is the training presentation that is presented by ASHRAE Staff at the ASHRAE Annual and Winter meetings during the Project Committee Chairmen’s Breakfast on Sunday mornings. This presentation is a general overview of the Standards Project Committee Manual of Procedures (PC MOP). This training is mandatory for all new project committee chairmen and vice-chairmen and is strongly encouraged for ongoing chairmen and project committee members.

Available below are examples of public review and publication submittal packages for various standards. The Project Committee Manual of Procedures (PC MOP) requires that the project committee chair submit the applicable package to the Manager of Standards when the project committee has made its recommendation for public review or publication for its cognizant standard, guideline or addendum. These packages should be used only as a guide for completing a submittal package. Public Review and Publication Draft Submittal Forms are available on the Technology & Standards website.

Standards Committee:

Available below are the training presentations normally presented to the Standards Committee and Subcommittees of the Standards Committee each year during Technology Weekend. Also included is a Standards Committee Quiz. This training is mandatory for all new Standards Committee members and is strongly encouraged for ongoing members. Standards Committee members assigned to one or more of the subcommittees below should also review the applicable presentation.
