Milan 2008: Call for Papers

The international Congress AICARR Milano 2008, held in accordance with Mostra Convegno Expocomfort, will be focused on "Climatization systems for a new equilibrium between man and environment".

The Congress topics will be available into two key International Plenary Sessions and five main Collateral Technical Sessions:

• The First Plenary Session will outline CEN standards - set to implement the European Directive on Energy Efficiency in Buildings – and their relationship both with technical national standards and laws, both in Italy and other European Countries.
• The Second Plenary Session will be devoted to technical innovation and options for the future of building systems (in residential and commercial large plans and city environment). This Session schedule includes invited papers on research and innovation, as well as practical applications and trials. A great attention to the new technologies for the proper use of renewable energies, to “Green Design” and innovative and profitable new systems complying with D.L. 192/2005 and D.L. 311/2006 (new Italian law).
• The Collateral Technical Sessions will focus five main topics:
  
1. Energy efficiency and renewable energies for production and distribution of heat and cold-rated output
2. Systems and components for indoor comfort and air quality
3. Building envelope and plants: a global approach
4. Energetic validation and certification
5. Buildings safety in case of accidents and anti-fire technologies

The Collateral Technical Sessions foresee a large number of invited papers and space for qualified papers, all of them approved by the Scientific Committee approval.

AICARR and the Scientific Committee therefore invite designers, researchers, technicians from Government entities, manufacturers, contractors and facility managers to present their papers in order to give their contribution to the Congress topics and to the success of this initiative.

Title and abstract (200 words, in Italian or English) of the article should be sent not later than May 30th, 2007 to the Congress Secretariat (e-mail: convegnomilano@aicarr.it).

Authors will be notified of the abstracts acceptance within June 30th 2007; full papers (in Italian or English, according to the instructions that will be given by the Congress Secretariat), should be mailed not later than September 30th, 2007 so as to allow them to be evaluated and definitely accepted. Paper received after September 30th, 2007 will neither be accepted nor printed. The Committee will provide the Authors with indication about rules and time schedule for their presentation (oral and/or poster session).

The Committee underlines all papers will be selected according to the principle to introduce significant experiences in the main topics of the Conference and, particularly, in those related to the Technical sessions. A special attention will be devoted to practical applications, to research results and to innovative solutions, both in efficiency and in environment respect fields.

A 50% discount on the Congress registration fee will be granted to the Authors presenting a free paper.
