Operations & Performance Management
Professional Certification

ASHRAE has developed the Operations & Performance Management Professional (OPMP) program in close collaboration with APPA and GSA. Candidates who earn the OPMP certification will have demonstrated a well-rounded understanding and knowledge of the management of facility operations and maintenance and their impact on HVAC&R systems' performance.

The examination for the OPMP program is $275 for ASHRAE members and $395 for non-members.

First OPMP exam to take place Jan. 2009 

2009 Winter Conference 75 pxAHR Expo 2009 75pxThe first administration of the OPMP examination will take place January 28, 2009, in Chicago, IL, in conjunction with ASHRAE’s Winter Conference and AHR Expo.

The 115-item multiple-choice exam will be administered at McCormick Place from 10:00 a.m. to noon. This first exam will be a pencil-and-paper test. After that, the examination will be available on computer at testing centers worldwide starting in March 2009 – so you’ll be able to take the exam at a location, on a date, and at a time most convenient to you.
